I also had motivation trouble with the break project. All I really wanted to do all day is lay in bed. Funny thing is...I did not take a single photo of any blood relative of mine, every single one of my pictures is of friends which I consider my closest family. Here's a taste of my break (climbing friends, home friends).

Break is for rejuvenation.
An almost impossible task when it includes major holidays.
You really need to talk to crazy instructors that give you homework during the break! What ever are they thinking?
BUT - making photos isn't work.
It is a daily practice, like brushing your teeth, taking a shower ....
