Some of these are hilarious!
the story behind this photo is insane... That was taken from this island in japan where volcanoes are constantly releasing toxic gas but the residents refused to leave so they all wore gas masks... It's called the Izu islands.
WOW - thanks for adding the story Robert! Makes it even more surreal and further addresses human nature and the need for familiarity, regardless of its toll.....

Curious - when I look at them I know that they are for real, yet I deconstruct each one and process how they might be constructed digitally. Sigh.....
